One day trip in Machakhela with a car

Forests, waterfalls, and mountain rivers. This route is planned so that you get acquainted with the nature of Adjara in all its diversity.

Batumi - Machakhela National Park : 39 km

Machakhela National Park is located 30 kilometers from Batumi. This is a large, protected forest with rare relict trees. On the territory of the reserve, you can choose one of two hiking routes: 8.3 km to Mount Archangel and 6 km (to the observation deck at the campsite), or just take a walk.

The park has a 12th-century bridge, ruins of castles, waterfalls, and even a historical museum.

Entrance to the park is free.

Machakhela National Park - Waterfall Makhuntseti : 38 km

After a walk through the Machakhela National Park, you will drive several kilometers along a mountain road to the Makhuntseti waterfall. One of the highest Adzharian waterfalls (30 meters) is located just 100 meters from the road. In warm weather, you can even swim near the waterfall.

At 500 meters from the waterfall, you can see the historical arch bridge of Queen Tamara, 6 meters high. In summer, local daredevils often jump from it into a stormy mountain river.

Waterfall Makhuntseti - Mirveti Waterfall 17 km

The Mirveti waterfall is not as popular as Makhuntseti, but no less beautiful. It flows from a cliff 20 meters high and splits into crystal streams that shimmer in the sun in different colors. The waterfall is surrounded by a mysterious boxwood forest. It is very pleasant to walk on it and breathe the clean air.

Mirveti Waterfall - Adjarian Wine House : 4 km

At the end of the trip, the driver will take you to the Adjarian Wine House, which was built on the site of an 18th-century winery. Here you can taste delicious Georgian cuisine and local wines in a relaxed atmosphere. The territory of the wine house is well-groomed, with cozy places to relax.

After dinner, you will return to Batumi.
