One-Day Car Trip to Shekvetili Parks and Banana Groves

Route from Batumi

In just one day, you can explore several fascinating destinations: Music Park, featuring singing sculptures of world-renowned artists and a grove of eucalyptus trees; a dendrological park with rare trees and exotic birds; and a miniature park showcasing scaled-down replicas of Georgia's major attractions. On your return trip, you'll also have the opportunity to stroll through a tropical banana grove.

Batumi to Shekvetili: 43.1 km

Shekvetili Music Park

Your first stop is Shekvetili Musia Park, located near the concert Black Sea Arena. This unique park is divided into themed sections where you can find sculptures of famous Georgian and international musicians. Each sculpture has a motion sensor that triggers music and a QR code you can scan with your smartphone for more information about the artist.

As you walk along the shaded eucalyptus paths, you'll encounter wooden figures of fairy tale characters and animals. In the park's center, there's an intriguing little pond where you can enter a fisherman's house and even climb to the second floor for a view of the park from the balcony—because what would Georgia be without a balcony?

You can explore the entire park in about an hour, but feel free to take your time.

Dendropark

Shekvetili's dendrological park is home to over a hundred giant trees, including an impressive eucalyptus with a trunk diameter of 8 meters, making you feel like a tiny Alice in Wonderland. You'll also see various birds, lemurs, and even deer, along with a lake inhabited by pink flamingos.

Admission to the park is free, and it's open from 10 AM to 7 PM during the summer, with the last entry at 6 PM. The park is closed on Mondays and Thursdays. Plan to spend there 1-2 hours.

Georgia in Miniatures Park

Set in a beautifully landscaped area filled with flowers and shrubs, the Miniature Park features over 50 of Georgia's iconic landmarks at a scale of 1:25. Each miniature is crafted with great attention to detail, showcasing entire districts of old Tbilisi, the country's main temples, fortresses, theaters, Svan towers, and even the Vardzia cave monastery.

Admission to the park is 6 lari for adults, plus 2 lari for a plastic card. Children under 6 enter for free.

Shekvetili to Banana Grove: 30 km

On your way back, you'll visit a tropical paradise where you can wander through banana jungles. This picturesque area is filled with tropical plants, a small pond, and various birds. If you continue further, the path leads down to the beach, where one spot even features a waterfall.
